Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

  • Managing company credit cards with proper documentation of receipts, identifying and preventing unnecessary spending, categorizing GL account transactions, and reconciling credit card accounts;
  • Maintaining the company's various banking relationships, including reconciling all corporate bank accounts, monitoring accounts for fraudulent activity, and ensuring completeness of bank migrations post-acquisition of new entities;
  • Transforming data from various reports into its proper uploading format as well as uploading sales orders;
  • Monitoring order-to-cash cycle and liaison with different departments to solve any issue related to the process;
  • Recording customer payments against sales invoice and reconcile accounts receivable information;
  • Supervising month-end closing activities, including reconciliation preparation for various accounts/processes and journal entries;
  • Liaising with internal & external auditors as required;
  • Regularly updating SOP documentation;
  • Accomplishing other tasks and projects endorsed by different departments within the company.
  • Establishing and maintaining working relationships with different departments, liaising on issues in implementing established policies and escalating to policy owners any issue requiring policy-related decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accountancy;
  • Preferably CPA but not required;
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience as an accountant;
  • 2 years of relevant experience for North American, British/European, or Australian companies;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills;
  • Must be detailed oriented, highly organized, and dedicated to delivering high quality of work;
  • Must have a strong sense of urgency and work ethic.
  • Must be Knowledgeable in GAAP and IFRS.
