Responsibilities

  • Working independently in a high-pressure environment and a cross-functional team.
  • Creating purchase orders for non-product/inventory items via the NetSuite system.
  • Receiving inventory and non-inventory stocks in the system.
  • Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine business activity costs such as purchases, freight, and Duties.
  • Maintaining complete supporting documents per non-inventory vendor invoices.
  • Ensuring timely product allocation of other related costs like freight, duty, inspection, and additional related product costs.
  • Analyzing data collected and recording results
  • Monitoring and reporting cost variances (vs. standard costs) with proper recommendation
  • Reconciling quarterly physical inventory
  • Measuring the physical inventory of newly acquired companies
  • Maintaining friendly and professional communication with Supply Chain, Accounts Payable, and Vendors relating to invoice inquiries.
  • Assisting in helping the levels of inventory and availability.
  • Liaising with internal & external auditors as required.
  • Ensuring that SOP documentation is updated.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years in a single company and at least five years of total relevant experience
  • Must be a bachelor’s degree holder in accountancy, banking, finance, and other related courses.
  • Extensive experience in creating purchase orders for non-product or inventory items in the NetSuite system.
  • Knowledgeable in receiving stock inventory for inventory and non-inventory items.
  • Must have a high level of critical analysis in planning, studying, and collecting data when determining business activity costs (such as purchases, freight, and duties).
  • Must be diligent in completing supporting documents per non-inventory vendor invoices.
  • Can adhere to strict deadlines to ensure timeliness in product allocation of related costs (such as freight, duty, inspection, and additional related product costs.)
  • Can analyze and record results of collected sets of data.
  • Must be vigilant in monitoring and reporting cost variance (vs. standard costs) and can provide a proper recommendation.
  • Keen on details, especially in reconciling quarterly physical inventory
  • Must have a keen eye when measuring the physical inventory of newly acquired companies.
  • Good, pleasing personality and excellent business communication skills when liaising about crucial details, such as supply chain, accounts payable, and vendor-related invoice queries.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills needed when liaising with internal and external auditors, as required.
  • Excellent multitasking skills, most especially needed in sustaining availability in inventory levels.
  • Consistent and punctual, especially in updating SOP documentation

  • Since we are a start-up company, expect tasks to be assigned to you from time to time that is not within your scope.
